Behind dandruff, there may exist many causes. Some of them are hair products, overgrowth of a yeast-like fungus called Malassezia, skin conditions, dry skin, not brushing your hair or oily products. Here we got some remedies chosen according to your scalp condition.

Removing Dandruff through kitchen items

  1. Lemon

    Every problem has a solution. If nature causes a problem it provides a solution too. And guess what nature also gives you a solution for this embarrassing problem in the form of lemons. You can reduce your dandruff problem through lemons.

    Sometimes dandruff caused due to change in PH level. Lemons are acidic in nature. They react and neutralize the PH level of the scalp. All you have to do is to get some fresh juice of lemons and rinse your hair with it.

  2. Avocado and banana

    One of the reasons behind dandruff is dryness and inflammation. Do you like to eat avocado and banana? Well, they are really tasty but do you know that they are great moisturizers for your skin.

    If you mix two bananas with one avocado and apply it to your scalp you will get dandruff free scalp and get rid of itching. For better results apply daily.

  3. Apple cider vinegar (some cases)

    As discussed earlier behind dandruff there is a yeast-like fungus that eats upon serum (natural oil produced by our scalp). Through experiments, it is found that on some people apple cider vinegar works wonder but for some, it failed.We recommend you that you should apply it on your skin if it works then best, otherwise it is not bad for hair.

    Apple cider vinegar contains antibacterial properties that help in the restriction of the growth rate of fungus and bacteria. Vinegar is acidic in nature hence balance the PH and control shedding of dry scalp. That way itching can be controlled. Plus point – it is a natural conditioner.

  4. Baking soda

    Baking soda is anti-fungal in nature. Hence it aids in controlling fungus. Baking soda is effective for those who have greasy hair with dandruff. Baking soda is antiseptic and reduces the production of excessive sebum. It may dry out your hair but after some washes, your hair will go back to normal and it will produce normal sebum.

    How you can apply baking soda to your scalp? You have to get a few tablespoons of baking soda and apply it directly to your wet hair. Skip using shampoo and after two to three minutes, wash your hair with cold water. Natural ways take some time to get the required results. But when you get results move back to your normal shampoo. We do not recommend to use it continuously.

  5. Aspirin

    Salicylic acid is a good thing for hair scalp. Salicylic acid exfoliates excessive flakes of dandruff and reduces the inflammation of the scalp. Aspirin is not only a pain reliever but can also aid you to fight with stubborn dandruff.

    Aspirin contains salicylic acid. All anti-dandruff shampoo contains salicylic acid as an active ingredient. All you have to do is to make a fine powder of two aspirins and add it in your shampoo while taking a shower. Leave it for 3 minutes then rinse with water.

    Activities which can reduce dandruff
    With treatment, some activities may save your day from being spoiled due to dandruff. These activities can save you from embarrassment in front of people.

    Brushing
    Brushing can reduce the threat of dandruff. If you have dandruff due to dryness then brushing can help. By brushing natural oil sebum spreads thoroughly all over the head. Use boar bristle hairbrush so your hair due to pulling does not face breakage. Dryness makes them weak so handle them with care.

    Tie your hair 
    Tie your hair instead of setting them free. This will reduce the falling of dandruff flakes on your shoulders.

    Washing
    Washing hair might help for some time. Or you get some relief for a short span of time. At least you will not scratch your head at a party. 

    Reduce Stress
    Try not to take stress. Stress is not good for overall health. It only causes damage so you should try to avoid it in any situation. Due to tension dandruff takes in control.
